Spring Conclusions

As I think back on my reflections of the texts I read this spring I see diversity. Not only diversity in the kinds of writers or the mediums in which the utopias and distopias were expressed but the drastically different ideas that were expressed. All of the different ideas that involve physical, social, emotional, mental, and spiritual well being are a specific person's ideas but what I realized is that although people have lots of great ideas, no one person's idea is capable of being perfect. The combination of select utopian expressions is the only idea I find plausible. Ultimately, we will never live in a utopia as along as we live on this imperfect earth but we can do our best to shape the community around us as a means to express love, equality, unity, and self expression.
